Opening Day - June 22, 2017

 

A fund-raising drive for the Milwaukee Bonsai Collection started in 2013 and the money for the exhibit was raised in sixteen weeks! A location for the exhibit was found, and a member of the Milwaukee Bonsai Society volunteered to design the exhibit area. Four years later the exhibit had its Opening Day. Several hundred people, bonsai enthusiasts as well as art lovers, congregated at the Bonsai Pavilion as Linda Oddan opened the main gate, refreshments were served on the patio, and everyone enjoyed seeing the bonsai in their new home.
